**Job Title:** Team Lead for Manufacturing Operations
**About the Role:
We are a progressive manufacturer based in Galway. We produce worktops for the domestic market and have an export business focused on lightweight components.
The company has been in operation for 50 years and is now positioning itself for future growth. This Team Lead position plays a pivotal role in managing that growth and shaping our transition to the next phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of production operatives in a respectful manner.
- Manage daily production scheduling and allocate staff optimally during changeovers.
- Proactively coach team members during downtime to maintain value flow.
- Monitor team performance, attendance and attitude; take corrective action when needed.
- Collaborate with maintenance and planning to minimize downtime and ensure smooth material flow.
**What We're Looking For:**
- A strong leader who can build rapport and respect within the team.
- A confident communicator who can be strict but fair.
- Prior experience in make-to-order manufacturing, preferably with lean practices.
- Practical understanding of scheduling, time management and process flow.
