We are collaborating with the head of FS tax to help hire a Financial Services Tax Directors and Associate Directors to join their rapidly expanding financial services tax team.

Our partner is the fastest-growing firm in Ireland, boasting over 3000 employees across 10 offices worldwide, with close ties to a prominent US firm.

As a Financial Services Tax Director or Associate Director, you will be responsible for delivering expert solutions to increasingly complex technical issues, demonstrating sufficient technical knowledge of financial services tax to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges, and managing a team to execute assignments on a day-to-day basis.

Main responsibilities: Provide financial services tax expertise to a diverse range of clients across various sectors, including asset management, banking, securitization, aviation finance, leasing, insurance, and fintech.

Support clients' transactions, compliance obligations, and assess their tax strategies. Manage the implementation of multiple advisory and compliance projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, prioritization, and billing.

Contribute to the financial services tax team's growth and development by proactively managing existing clients and identifying opportunities to undertake additional/new client work. Required skills and qualifications:

  • ATT/ACA/ACCA or CTA qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience working in financial services tax departments either in industry or professional services
  • Strong technical knowledge and proven ability to identify opportunities for clients and grow the financial services tax offering
  • Capable of working independently
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and the team
  • Proven business development skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential, together with proven people development skills to support the development of junior staff
