We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to fill a key role in our acute hospital setting in Limerick.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, treating and supporting patients across a variety of clinical areas. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced occupational therapist to join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care within an acute hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert assessment, treatment planning and intervention across a range of acute specialties.
  • Lead on discharge planning, ensuring safe and effective transitions of care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior Occupational Therapists and students.
  • Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement projects.
  • Educate patients and families regarding therapy goals and progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with hospital standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Requirements

This position requires CORU Registration as an Occupational Therapist, minimum 3 years post-graduate experience, and strong clinical skills in medical, surgical, orthopaedics, or rehabilitation. Leadership or supervisory experience is also desirable.
