We are looking for a highly skilled Contract Manager (CM) to join our team. The CM will be responsible for contract development and management of all contractual documents, working in partnership with the Sourcing Specialist, Suppliers, internal Business and Legal Departments to negotiate and develop robust legal and commercial terms and conditions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to project manage significant strategic deals to a timely conclusion, identifying and managing operational, commercial, financial and legal risks to the Verizon business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and negotiating terms & conditions with Suppliers
  • Acting as an advisor and/or expert for contract related issues
  • Collaborating with Internal Audit, as necessary, and Supplier's auditors to resolve contract compliance issues
  • Providing leadership among the Sourcing Specialist, Business Partner, Legal, internal SMEs and Suppliers

Requirements include:

  • LLB, LLM, or BCL or equivalent Degree
  • Telecom Network or IT experience
  • Experience in contract management or category sourcing position
  • Experience negotiating & managing agreements with significant annual spend
  • Project management experience
  • Strong understanding of procurement contract clauses and principles
  • Strong understanding of procurement contract risks and how to mitigate those risks
