Job Description:

CEL is recruiting a highly motivated and dynamic EHS Manager who will be accountable for promoting a positive environmental and safety culture across our organisation.

The successful candidate will ensure we operate to the highest standards with the appropriate tools and training and maintain our manufacturing facilities as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, implement and ensure compliance of an EHS strategy, conforming to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  2. Establish an effective risk management process and advise on key business decisions to site leadership
  3. Create and report relevant KPIs, ensuring necessary actions are taken where targets are not being met
  4. Manage accident investigations, implementing robust corrective and preventive actions as required
  5. Create a communication loop for all employees providing clear information on EHS issues and lessons learned
  6. Enact an internal audit program, ensuring CEL operates in compliance with required EHS regulations
  7. Act as company representative during external audits, either customer or regulatory
  8. Assist personnel in understanding their EHS obligations and how to fulfill their responsibilities
  9. Implement and monitor a comprehensive EHS employee training program, ensuring regulatory compliance
  10. Assume full responsibility for all Facilities Management activities across our manufacturing facilities
  11. Coordinate and manage maintenance activities identified during internal audits for CEL manufacturing sites
  12. Drive behavioural change, implementing company-wide performance improvement programs and practices
  13. Provide day-to-day operational support on a proactive basis on all EHS related matters
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree educated with 3 – 5 years' experience at senior management level
  • Demonstrated organisational, leadership and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and adept at identifying and solving issues
  • Effective communications/presentation skills and ability to advise on EHS legislation
  • Proven EHS auditing experience both in operational and remote sites
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally - approx. 10% travel requirement
