Financial Services Audit Senior Manager Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Services Audit Senior Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional with strong technical, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and perform high-quality audit work in a commercially beneficial manner.
  • Lead a dedicated team and manage, organise and deploy staff on assignments as necessary.
  • Formulate the strategic direction of the Financial Services team internally and externally.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across the firm and assist and collaborate with different business areas.
  • Effectively plan and resource staff on assignments.
  • Promote the firm's values and beliefs, demonstrating integrity and maintaining an ethical stance.
  • Communicate team goals with clarity and set clear objectives for team members.
  • Recruit, promote and develop talent within the team.
  • Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of the firm's risk management policies and operational procedures.
  • Ensure client expectations and issues are understood, developing collaborative relationships.
  • Contribute to learning & development and coaching of junior staff.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with relevant FS audit experience in a Big 4/Top 10 practice environment (minimum 4 years PQE).
  • Role model within the team setting high standards of quality and demonstrating commitment to self-development.
  • Communicates team goals with clarity, sets clear objectives for team members and monitors and assesses performance.
  • Effectively develops talent within the team.
  • Experience leading and operational supervision large audit group assignments.
  • Thorough understanding and technical proficiency in IFRS.
  • Fluent English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and project management capabilities.
