Job Description:
The Senior Architect in Data Center Engineering - Civil, Structural, Architectural Solutions (DCE-CSAS) team has a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects that drive the growth of Amazon's cloud infrastructure. As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for providing the global vision, rationale, and recommendations to leadership teams for next-generation data center architectural design and remediation on new and existing sites.
You will lead cross-functional teams that include technical program management, product management, structural engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, supply chain management, operations, safety, and security. Your role will involve communicating technical decisions to Principal Architects/Engineers and driving continuous improvements with our designs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture & Architecture license.
- 10+ years of design and standard template development experience in commercial, industrial, other complex technical projects.
- 3+ years of design experience with architectural design and standard template development of mission critical projects and leading sub-consultants/project teams.
- Proficiency in industry standards, environmental codes, building codes, regulations, safety guidelines, and standards.
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction architectural drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
