About the Role:
St. James Hospital is looking for a skilled Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work in our Unscheduled Care team. As an Epilepsy Specialist, you will provide comprehensive care to patients with epilepsy, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment, and discharge.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the CNS team and other healthcare professionals to provide expert care to patients with epilepsy
  • Develop and implement clinical pathways and guidelines for patients with seizures
  • Manage patient with Vagal Nerve Stimulation (VNS)
  • Co-ordinate and optimise transition care for patients with epilepsy
  • Develop and deliver education programs for junior staff and nursing students

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Be a Registered Nurse or Midwife on the NMBIs Active Register
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience in advanced practice
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Have a strong understanding of epilepsy and its management
