Enterprise Jira Administrator Job Overview

State Street, a leading financial services company, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Jira Administrator to join their global team. As a key member of the CRD Engineering organization, this individual will play a crucial role in innovating and transforming the State Street Alpha Platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud-based technology and experience configuring and administering large-scale Jira instances. They will be proficient in customizing and maintaining all aspects of Jira administration, including setting up and managing permission schemes, roles, groups, and workflow rules.

The successful candidate will also have experience with Agile frameworks, such as Scrum and Kanban, and will be able to collaborate effectively with teams practicing Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage projects via standardized templates and schemes.
  • Customize and maintain all aspects of Jira administration, including custom fields, screen layouts, issue types, and workflows.
  • Set up and manage permission schemes, roles, groups, and authentication configurations.
  • Configure automation tools, such as ScriptRunner, and create custom reports to support agile teams and leadership needs.
  • Experience with test management using add-ons like Xray and integration with engineering and product management.
  • Strong understanding of JIRA APIs and webhooks.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience configuring and administering cloud Jira instances at enterprise scale.
  • Experience with other Atlassian products, marketplace add-ons, and external integrations.
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and collaboration with Agile teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics; Master's degree preferred.
