Job Overview:

We're looking for an experienced Piping Design Lead to join our growing Process Piping Department at IPS-Integrated Project Services. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing complex piping systems for various pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work on conceptual and detailed design projects, collaborating with project managers and directors to achieve project success.
  2. Contribute to the entire design process, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  3. Prepare piping and equipment arrangement drawings using 3D models and 2D layouts.
  4. Select suitable piping components, consulting with equipment suppliers and vendors to obtain necessary information.
  5. Produce piping plans, equipment layout, section layout, and other 2D drawings for deliverables.
  6. Ensure correct documentation and coordination of work to reflect design intent.
  7. Collaborate with related engineering disciplines to resolve clashes and apply comments.
  8. You may contribute to annual performance reviews for assigned staff, if applicable, and provide developmental support.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must have 15 years of relevant design experience.
  • A technical or associate degree from an accredited institution in engineering design areas of mechanical is required.
  • Proven experience with piping design software, including Plant 3D, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of GMP process and clean utility systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with generating piping isometric drawing production is essential.
  • Autodesk Navisworks experience is a plus, and BIM 360 knowledge would be beneficial.
