We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Geriatric Medicine specialist to join our dynamic medical team in a leading hospital, providing high-quality patient care while contributing to the development of innovative medical practices in a supportive and progressive environment.

- You will have the chance to work closely with colleagues to ensure effective diagnosis, treatment, and patient management.
The hospital is a major teaching and research facility, providing a comprehensive range of acute and specialist services to patients across the region. It is well-equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology, dedicated research initiatives, and strong academic links with local universities.
What's on Offer- A highly competitive salary scale between €231,215- €277,290
- Additional remuneration for on-call duties and overtime as applicable depending on rota
- A highly flexible contract that enables consultants to choose from a variety of different work patterns
- Up to €12,000 CME and €8,000 research grant
- 30 days annual leave and 10 public holidays
- To provide high-quality medical care in Geriatric / Care of the Elderly Medicine to patients at this hospital.
- To work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective diagnosis, treatment, and patient management.
- To supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical trainees.
- Fully registered (or eligibility for registration) with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) - Specialist Division in Geriatric Medicine
- Extensive post-graduate experience in General Medicine.
- Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
- Proven track record in medical research and clinical teaching.
- Prior experience working in an Irish or UK healthcare setting.
- Participation in quality improvement or patient safety initiatives.
