Job Title:
Project Management Specialist

This role involves overseeing the delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will have experience in managing infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on technical advice and support.

About the Role:
The Project Management Specialist will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver programme and project management services to clients. This will involve coordinating specialists, managing contracts, reviewing submissions, expediting project schedules, ensuring compliance, and conducting regular inspections.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating specialists and managing contracts
  • Reviewing submissions and expediting project schedules
  • Ensuring compliance and conducting regular inspections
  • Drafting and reviewing correspondences to contractors
  • Liaising with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Managing day-to-day operational duties
  • Proposing alternatives for expediting/recovering project schedules
  • Attending Risk Reduction meetings and recording actions and mitigations
  • Monitoring contractual compliance by the contractor

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical/electronic engineering or another relevant discipline
  • 5+ years post-graduate experience in infrastructure projects
  • Ideal experience in mechanical/electrical systems projects and infrastructure maintenance

  • Strong team player
  • Analytical, self-motivated, and numerate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in chairing meetings and managing resources
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in Infrastructure O&M schemes and Intelligent Transport Systems
  • Familiarity with PPP and NEC3 contracts, commercial risk, and procurement strategies
  • Knowledge of highway engineering standards, including DMRB
