Job Description:
We're seeking a software development manager to lead a team building foundational network services for our Software Defined Networking (SDN) ecosystem. The main focus will be on designing and owning a closed-loop system for network entity reservation associated with procurement activities.
This service bridges network capacity planning and automation systems, essential for our self-managed network vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of highly motivated software developers in solving challenging problems with innovative solutions
- Bridge network engineering and software engineering disciplines to solve real-world problems
- Built large-scale distributed software systems using open-source technologies and Amazon proprietary tools
Requirements:
- Knowledge of full software/hardware/networks development life cycle practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience in engineering team management and leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams, designing or architecting new and existing systems
- Effective communication with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software features, technical designs, and product strategy
