Job Title: Educational Support Specialist

About the Role:

The educational psychological service provides comprehensive support to all learners, with a focus on those with special educational needs and those at risk of educational disadvantage.

As an educational psychologist, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to meet national service priorities and provide a high-quality professional educational psychological service to assigned schools.

Your key responsibilities will include ensuring the delivery of a high-quality professional educational psychological service, supporting national and regional initiatives, and developing co-operative linkages with other educational services.

You will also contribute to the development of the NEPS service through participation at meetings and working groups, adhere to the Code of Professional Ethics of the Psychological Society of Ireland, and engage in ongoing professional development.

About You:

Candidates must possess a recognised qualification in Psychology at minimum Level 8 (1st or 2nd class honours) and a post-graduate professional qualification in educational psychology, clinical or counselling psychology, with at least two years supervised experience working with children and young people.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Post-graduate professional qualification in educational psychology or clinical/counselling psychology
  2. Minimum two years supervised experience working with children and young people
