Disability Learning Support Specialist

We are committed to creating inclusive learning environments that meet the diverse needs of all learners.

  • The Disability Learning Support Specialist will work closely with students who have a range of disabilities, including specific learning difficulties, neurological conditions, mental health conditions, significant ongoing illness, physical disabilities and sensory disabilities.
  • Support students in their academic work, promoting independence and confidence.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy and a passion for disability learning support.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Work collaboratively with students, staff and other stakeholders to provide effective disability learning support.
  2. Develop and deliver individualized learning plans to support students' academic goals.
  3. Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement inclusive learning materials and resources.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities or similar experience in a related field.
