The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in health and safety, with experience in construction or civil engineering, and hold a recognised qualification in health and safety. The ability to lead by example and demonstrate a high standard of written English is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising site management on day-to-day health and safety matters
  • Building up a good rapport with the client and the workforce
  • Ensuring compliance with UK Health & Safety Legislation/CDM Regs/Client's standards
  • Promoting and encouraging best practice
  • Carrying out daily and weekly site inspections
  • Delivering toolbox talks on health, safety, and wellbeing themes
  • Attending and chairing safety meetings
  • Health and wellbeing promotional campaigns
  • Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses and sharing lessons learned
  • Reviewing documentation for appropriate health and safety content (method statements etc)
