Job Summary:

">Data Engineer">
This is a challenging role in a highly visible program of work that will expose the candidate to both business and technical teams across various domains.
The ideal candidate will have experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud computing platforms, including Databricks on AWS. They will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Analyze and design DW, Data Lake, and Lakehouse infrastructures">
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to load and transform data from various sources">
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain data pipelines">
  • Create and optimize relational databases schema, tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures">
  • Perform data migration, transformation, and integration tasks between different database systems">
  • Work with other development groups to advise, guide, and assist in their integrations">
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. GIT) and Agile development methodologies">
  • Interact with vendors for support and consultancy">
  • Support QA testing">
  • Provide direction & support to the Business Divisions for User Acceptance Testing">
  • Rapidly create, modify, refresh, and update dashboards and reports using reporting tools">


Required Skills and Qualifications:
">Essential Skills and Experience:

  • ">
  • DW/BI hands-on development and data-modelling experience (5-7 years)">
  • Databricks on Amazon Web Services cloud computing platforms experience (3-5 years)">
  • Reporting and Visualization tools with deep understanding of relevant architecture and framework (3-5 years)">
  • Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, Data Modelling, and Visualization solutions on Cloud, on-premises, and hybrid">
  • Databricks platform experience">
  • Python, SQL, relational database objects (Postgres, Oracle, and/or SQL Server), and procedural languages (PL/pgSQL, PL/SQL, and/or T-SQL)">
  • Version Control systems">
  • Web Services integration using REST/SOAP/JSON">
  • Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence (plus)">
  • SQL Server Integration Services (plus)">
