About the Role

The Haematology Laboratory at our hospital provides routine haematology and specialized diagnostic services to patients and outpatients. We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scientist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Medical Laboratory Science, excellent leadership and communication skills, and experience in managing and supervising a team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate test results.
  2. Collaborate with Consultant Haematologists to develop and improve diagnostic services.
  3. Provide training and support to junior staff members.
  4. Maintain accurate records of test results and other laboratory data.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Postgraduate degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
  • 6 years' experience in a Medical Laboratory post qualification, two of which must have been as a Senior Medical Scientist in Haematology.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • IT skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
