Our client, a leading multidisciplinary design consultancy, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Services Design Lead to join their Dublin office. The successful candidate will manage and undertake design work and technical project coordination on various Healthcare projects in Ireland.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and be proficient in design software such as Revit. They will also possess excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptual design studies and report writing
  • Mechanical design including building analysis, HVAC, specialist gas, water services, drainage, and fire suppression systems
  • Reviewing design work of junior engineers
  • Mentoring and development of junior engineers
  • Estimating and Cost Control on projects
  • Ensuring full coordination between specifications and drawings

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience in design gained within a consultancy environment
  • Chartered or progressing to achieve chartership
  • Excellent knowledge of industry standards and codes of practice
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
