Category Manager - Timber">

We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure we have the best product range to meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:">
  • ">
  • Build long-term supplier relationships to improve the trading position in a sustainable way.">
  • Support sales teams by sourcing materials in a timely manner.">
  • Regularly review stock levels across multiple locations to ensure sufficient stock is available to meet expected demand while allowing for unexpected supply chain issues.">
  • Update staff on expected delivery dates and manage stock deliveries from ports to branches.">
">Required Skills and Qualifications:">

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of experience in buying, procurement, or within the building materials industry. They will also have knowledge of construction materials, industry regulations, and market trends.

The successful candidate will possess strong negotiation and communication skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities. They will also have excellent organization and attention to detail, effective team working and networking skills, and excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
