Occupational Therapist Role Summary:

A leading university teaching hospital is seeking a senior occupational therapist to join their inpatient and outpatient neurology service.

  • The role involves providing high-quality occupational therapy services within the neurology service, conducting clinical and educational duties as required.
  • You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment programs for patients according to service standards.
  • As a senior occupational therapist, you will supervise basic grade/student occupational therapists and therapy assistants, participating in their continuing professional training and development.
  • You will collaborate with senior/clinical specialist OTs in other clinical areas to establish care pathways.

Requirements:

  • You must hold a recognized qualification as an occupational therapist and be eligible for recognition and registration with CORU.

  • Experience in supervising staff grade and junior occupational therapists and/or students and/or therapy assistants is desirable.
  • You should have complex seating experience and expertise in functional cognitive assessments.
