Job Description

We are currently recruiting for Activity Leaders to work in our busy summer centres from the middle of June to the middle of August. As an Activity Leader, you will be responsible for supervising the students outside the classroom, overseeing their health and safety, and discipline at all times.

You will work closely with the Activity Coordinator to inject life into the Activities Programme, providing an experience which is stimulating and culturally enriching for students.

Your primary responsibility will be to monitor the whereabouts of students through roll calls at meetings, lunchtime, and in the evenings, anticipating discrimination, bullying, and damage.

You will also develop game plans for all in-school and evening activities, ensuring they are prepared for all the activities they are running.

This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to motivate and engage with students.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Recognised Leisure qualification, e.g., specialist coaching qualification, First Aid
  • Experience working with teenagers in a residential environment at summer camps or activity programs
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Ireland
  • Must have Garda Vetting Certification
  • Fluent in communicative and written English
  • Enthusiastic with high energy and able to motivate students
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Must be a Team Player with a 'can do attitude'
  • Must have completed all Online Training Modules
  • Must attend the All Staff Training Day
  • Must complete Tusla Child Protection Training
  • Must be available to work July 2024
