Medical Advisor

A Medical Advisor is required to support multiple capital projects taking place on-site in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art fill-finish facility and the company's first stand-alone vaccine and biologics plant outside the US.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent the medical department, providing fair, balanced, non-promotional and unbiased medical and scientific assistance to healthcare professionals (HCPs) for further information on product portfolios, clinical development programs, or disease areas of interest.
  • Maintain professional relationships with the healthcare community, especially scientific experts and academic centres, in relevant disease areas and deliver improved patient outcomes in those areas.
  • Participate in developing Medical Affairs Plans and implement tactics aligning with the Company's therapeutic areas of interest.
  • Work cross-functionally to deliver specific projects, such as health technology appraisals, clinical trials, early access strategies, guideline and policy work, symposia, advice-seeking activities, medical education initiatives.
  • Facilitate data generation activities (phase I-III), including identifying research projects, research centres, investigators and innovative methods to generate data.
  • Ensure integrity and ethical governance for the organisation, setting an example by leading responsibly.
  • Prioritise tasks effectively, balancing long- and short-term requirements, and demonstrate previous experience working cross-functionally.
Requirements:
  • A medical degree or pharmacy degree; higher science degrees are allowable with industry experience.
  • A strong background in medical or biological sciences is essential for this role.
  • Medical Affairs industry experience is mandatory.
  • Oncology industry experience is preferable.
  • High knowledge of IPHA Code of Practice, preferably a final signatory status.
  • Proven relationship-building skills with scientific leaders in pharmaceutical industries or healthcare settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strategic planning and organisational abilities.
