Programme Assistant Job Description:
The Programme Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of inclusive programmes, training, and social role opportunities for participants. This will involve working closely with people with support needs, volunteers, employees, and wider community partners to create a supportive environment that fosters personal growth, development, and opportunity.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning and coordination of programme activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. They will also contribute to the establishment of policies, systems, and practices that promote the best standard of care and support within the community.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a QQI Level 5 Major Award in Community/Healthcare on the QQI Framework (with 8 completed modules) and at least one year's experience in working with adults with intellectual disabilities/autism. Experience of running programmes for adults with intellectual disabilities/autism is also essential. A full driver's licence is required due to the need to drive a vehicle with up to 8 passenger seats and up to 3,500kg.
