Marine Structures Lead Designer

We are looking for an experienced Marine Structures Lead Designer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering discrete structural design packages and providing guidance, coordination, and mentorship to a team of engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural or geotechnical design, with over 8 years of relevant industry experience. They will also possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include leading structural or geotechnical design, project management, technical expertise, quality assurance, team coordination and mentoring, client interaction, risk management, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred. They will also have proficiency in report writing and presentation skills, as well as broad expertise in marine structural design, coastal processes design, numerical modeling studies, and understanding of environmental engineering and permitting requirements.

This role offers the opportunity to work on various public and private projects for contractors, county councils, developers, port owners and operators. You will have the chance to deliver next-generation port infrastructure and contribute to the development of complex engineering projects that require expertise in regulation and permitting, maritime and port operations, structural and geotechnical engineering, site investigations, marine ecology, dredging and reclamation, project management, contract administration and site supervision.
