Job Purpose:

This role represents a fantastic opportunity for a commercial finance professional to join our Commercial Team. You will work closely with the Development and Delivery teams to support the preparation of budgets, cost analysis, and risk assessments. Your strong financial acumen and excellent relationship management skills will be essential in facilitating audits and providing significant reporting responsibilities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets and assess KPIs across development projects and opportunities.
- Maintain project budgets and cashflows, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Complete finance reconciliations of project costs and finance records, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
- Provide monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reporting requirements, working closely with stakeholders to meet their needs.
- Liaise with Development and Construction Managers to manage and report on budget variances, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Contribute to the development of Management Information Systems, maintaining information flow through those systems.
- Act as a liaison between Business Units and the Finance function, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Assist in the coordination of tax advice from external consultants for various projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, supporting the audit process and resolving any findings or recommendations.
- Other duties may be required based on the evolving operational requirements of the LDA.

Requirements:

- Newly Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) proficiency with bookkeeping software/applications.
- Excellent relationship management skills (both internal and external).
- Exercises sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism, demonstrating a positive can-do attitude, maintaining confidentiality, and being an effective team player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organised and detail-oriented.
- Ability to execute in relatively ambiguous and complex situations, prioritising and juggling multiple actions at once, working independently, being self-motivated, and action-oriented.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work on own initiative, experience within the Construction/Property sector being a significant advantage.
