Role Overview

TN Ireland is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team in County Meath. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality custom joinery pieces.

About the Position

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in the joinery or woodworking industry. You will be required to read and interpret technical plans and drawings to ensure accurate production, perform regular maintenance and cleaning on machines to ensure proper functioning, and adjust machine settings to meet specifications and ensure accuracy of finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate CNC machines to fulfill job orders for custom joinery pieces
  • Read and interpret technical plans and drawings to ensure accurate production
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning on machines to ensure proper functioning
  • Adjust machine settings to meet specifications and ensure accuracy of finished products
  • Monitor machines during operation and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
  • Perform quality checks on finished products and make adjustments as necessary
  • Report any malfunctions or defects to the appropriate department
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Train and mentor junior CNC operators as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in the joinery or woodworking industry
  • In-depth knowledge of CNC programming and operation
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precision
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Familiarity with woodworking tools and techniques
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification is a plus
