A pharmacy in Galway is seeking a Support Pharmacist to play a key role in the day-to-day running of the dispensary.
This varied and responsible position offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense prescriptions accurately and maintain detailed records in line with regulations.
Provide expert advice on over-the-counter medicines and ensure compliance with guidelines.
Manage and monitor stock levels, storage, and expiry dates effectively.
Oversee Department of Health Schemes (DPS, LTI, GMS), including submissions and payment reconciliations.
Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are met and maintained.
Supervise the pharmacy in the absence of the managing pharmacist.
Support training, staff development, and health promotion initiatives within the team.
Requirements:
A Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
Demonstrated strong attention to detail and knowledge of statutory regulations.
Able to work proactively and as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
