Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced software tester to join our agile team in Cork, Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who thrives on the challenge of testing in an agile environment.

The successful candidate will have a passion for ensuring software quality and will be responsible for defining and performing user acceptance tests (UATs) for stories, reviewing documentation, and confirming feature testing is complete.

In this role, you will also determine other types of testing required based on the feature, such as exploratory, performance, scalability, reliability, security, and automation.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in R&D team building commercial solutions for numerous Microsoft technologies including Entra ID, Office 365, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, SQL Server, etc.
  • Employ exploratory testing or other test methods to manually test features prior to automation
  • Be part of the entire sprint iteration on an agile feature team and be responsible for story closure and the overall quality of the feature
  • Collaborate with all other members of the agile SCRUM team and take ownership of increasing quality and reducing defect rates
  • Take ownership and drive test and automation goals for the team
Qualifications
  • Computer science undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years working as a quality control or assurance engineer testing within an agile development team
  • Capable of taking ownership of the testing and closure of stories to ensure every feature has high quality
  • Working experience using one or more of the following test methodologies: acceptance, automated, security, scalability, usability, reliability, performance
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory or Entra ID
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems such as Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 or Windows 10/11
  • General understanding of Windows networking infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the Office 365 workloads: Exchange Online/SharePoint Online/OneDrive
  • Working knowledge of virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V, Azure VMs)
  • Ability to work in a DevOps environment with tools like Azure DevOps or Jira with complete test integration in the pipeline
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
