Job Overview

  • We are seeking a seasoned electrician to lead our team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Guide, oversee and inspire a group of highly qualified electricians in maintaining dependable and safe machinery.
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks on electrical equipment, such as PLCs, instrumentation and variable speed drives.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with site regulations and guidelines.
  • Utilize the PEMAC maintenance management system to schedule and review equipment maintenance procedures efficiently.
  • Assign team members maintenance tasks using the PEMAC maintenance management system.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities completed on the PEMAC maintenance management system.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance planner to discuss PMs, near-misses and task backlogs.
  • Minimize equipment downtime through prompt action, efficient root cause analysis and sound problem-solving methods.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate staff effectively.
  • Time-served Electrician with QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Electrical or equivalent qualification.
  • Working knowledge of switch gear, MCC controls, relay logic and various AC and DC voltage systems.
  • High-level diagnostic and problem-solving skills in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical process plants and associated maintenance activities within the wastewater industry.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of H&S statutory requirements, responsibilities and obligations.
  • Good knowledge of Alan Bradley PLC, Ethernet, ControlNet, Device Net & Profibus communications protocols.
  • Proficient in ABB Variable Speed Drives.
  • Awareness of ATEX zoned areas.
  • Comp Ex certification.
  • Experience with medium voltage switching and relevant qualifications.
  • Familiarity with SCADA process control systems for process and fault diagnosis.
