About the Role

This is a mid-senior level accounting and finance role that involves treasury and working capital management, reconciliations, and supporting monthly management account preparation.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage daily banking operations to ensure efficient fund processing and liquidity management.
  2. Oversee payment transactions, including payments to stakeholders and direct debit collections.
  3. Perform month-end reconciliations for multiple income streams and resolve discrepancies.
  4. Prepare and review balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
  5. Transition from manual to systemised processes to enhance efficiency.
  6. Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  7. Contribute to the development and enhancement of finance systems, processes, and controls.
  8. Support interim and year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
  9. Prepare key financial performance reports and maintain high-quality procedure documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in financial accounting or significant equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in preparing management accounts, financial statements, and conducting reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in working with multiple financial systems and applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience in a treasury or working capital management role.
  • Familiarity with automating finance processes and leveraging technology to streamline operations.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and other Office tools such as PowerPoint.
  • Experience in developing internal finance portals and business reporting tools.
