Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the implementation of commercial manufacturing production schedules and guiding a team in process execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the commercial scale manufacturing of recombinant proteins according to approved protocols, regulations, and schedules.
  • Lead all aspects of a team responsible for the manufacture of bulk drug substance in a regulated environment.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety and housekeeping.
  • Review and edit batch records in line with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure availability of production batch records for upcoming lots.
  • Schedule duties and batch tasks based on master production schedules.
  • Ensure equipment readiness and coordinate regular equipment maintenance and calibrations; troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Perform audits of production areas.
  • Perform people management duties including time sheet submissions, scheduling of vacations, personnel development, disciplinary actions, hiring, terminations, and performance evaluations.
  • Schedule individual and ongoing training.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful operations.
  • Maintain safety standards at all times.
Requirements
  • Prior supervisory experience is required.
  • Logical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Able to work within a team environment.
