">About the Role:
">We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Portfolio Management Control Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of control for our practice areas.
">Main Responsibilities:
">- Directing team members with specific tasks to successfully implement the systematic control framework outlined by the Chief Controls Officer
- Ensuring control 'best practices' are adhered to, corporate policies are supported, and regulatory requirements are met
- Managing the day-to-day focus of the control team using risk identification, assessment, and control tools
- Lead the execution of Global Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) for practice areas
- Highlight risks with high likelihood of exposure and ensure transparency to senior management
- Direct control testing for identified risks and drive testing towards automated means where possible
- Provide appropriate documentation and establish metrics for monitoring adherence to recommended controls
- Support key Control programs such as Audit Remediation, ASL, ATP Standards etc.
- Oversight, reporting, and monitoring for controls outlined for each practice/product service execution
- Ensure weekly control reporting is completed
Requirements:
">- Extensive experience in Operational Risk Management or Control
- Experience managing teams across multiple jurisdictions
- Working knowledge of key business drivers and factors that maximize department performance
- Persuades managers and leaders to take action and negotiates with external partners/vendors/clients
