We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in Infection Prevention and Control. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care and make a real difference in the lives of our patients and staff.

About the Role:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist - IPC will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to prevent and control infections, providing guidance and support to staff, and conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve organisational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing IPC policies and procedures
Liaising with staff and stakeholders to promote best practice
Conducting regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement
Providing education and training to staff on IPC practices and procedures
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives

Requirements:
A registered nurse/midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
Post-registration programme of study or equivalent experience in Infection Prevention and Control
Minimum 5 years post-registration full-time experience in nursing
Minimum 2 years' full-time experience in Infection Prevention and Control
Demonstrable evidence of continuing professional development
