About the Role:

We are seeking committed and caring individuals to join our team as Healthcare Assistants / Personal Assistants in Co. Limerick. This part-time position offers 20 hours of work, including weekends, late nights, and alternating weekdays.

Job Overview:

The purpose of this role is to enable our members to achieve maximum independence in daily living by providing assistance with personal care, domestic tasks, social activities, travel, and companionship. We foster strong relationships with our members, other home carers, and ALS coordinators to ensure seamless implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with other home carers and maintain close communication with the ALS Coordinator/Scheduling staff.
  • Provide assistance with personal care, domestic duties, social activities, travel, and companionship to enable maximum independence.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with members, other caregivers, and colleagues.

Requirements:

">

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 5 modules completed at QQI Level 5 in Community & Health Services, Health Service Skills, or Healthcare Support, along with a commitment to complete the major award. You must have experience working in a caring role, be reliable, trustworthy, and maintain confidentiality. Excellent communication skills, a full driver's license, and access to your own car are essential.

We offer a competitive salary range of €15.39 – €17.12 per hour (dependent on experience) with opportunities for overtime. Before 8am and after 8pm, Sunday, and Public Holidays attract higher hourly rates.
