About the Job: We are seeking a skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team. As an Application Support Engineer, you will provide technical support to our international banking client. The team works in a high-profile, mission-critical environment within a banking environment.
Your Responsibilities: As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing stakeholders for supported applications, troubleshooting and resolving incidents, and performing root cause analysis of problem tickets. You will also manage incident queues and incident intake channels, take ownership of incidents, and communicate with customers as required.
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need good experience in a production support/application support role. You should possess good hands-on experience of SQL and Unix, Shell Scripting. Additionally, you should have a good understanding and exposure to monitoring tools (Geneos/Grafana/Splunk) and scheduling tools (i.e., Control M/Cronjobs). Knowledge of ITIL based Production Support (i.e., Incident, Change Management etc.) is also essential. You should be able to interact with multiple stakeholders (good communication and coordination).
