Caregiving Specialist

As a Caregiving Specialist with Bluebird Care Ireland, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional personal care and support to customers in their own homes. Your primary responsibility will be to implement the requirements of the customer care plan, perform identified care duties, and promote customer comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.
The ideal candidate will possess a genuine concern for others, demonstrating kindness, compassion, and patience. You will be required to follow instructions, maintain confidentiality, and exhibit good English language proficiency with strong written and verbal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with activities of daily living, such as bathing, showering, and continence care, as outlined in the customer care plan.
- Prioritize and pay due attention to all aspects of care duties performed on behalf of customers.
- Care for customers with respect and dignity at all times, showcasing sensitivity and empathy towards each individual.
- Maintain a high standard of care in line with the requirements outlined in the customer care plan.
Requirements & Qualifications
- All applicants must have obtained QQI-approved Level 5 modules 'Care of the Older Person' and 'Care Skills' (Healthcare Support 5M4339) or possess a minimum of one year experience as a Healthcare Assistant and be willing to undertake the two QQI Level 5 modules mentioned above.
- A background in caring for others in a professional capacity is highly desirable.
- A valid full driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
Working Conditions
- This position offers flexible working hours and can be filled on a full-time or part-time, temporary or permanent basis.
