About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement health and safety policies, procedures, and management systems to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
- Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with Irish health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain Method Statements, Safe Plans of Action, and Tool Box Talks to ensure effective communication of health and safety information.
- Provide guidance and instruction on health and safety matters to employees and management.
- Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Compile and maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, including accident reports and safety audits.
- Monitor trends and provide statistical analysis to inform health and safety decision-making.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Health & Safety Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the service provider/M&E contractor sector.
- Full Clean Driver's License.
