About the Role:

The Internal Audit Manager will lead and deliver multiple audits from planning through reporting, focusing on financial, operational, and governance risks. You will provide clear, actionable recommendations and ensure high-quality audit reports are prepared and reviewed. Effective communication with stakeholders is essential in this role, as you will work closely with audit leadership and business stakeholders throughout the audit cycle.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and deliver multiple audits from planning through reporting
  2. Provide clear, actionable recommendations
  3. Ensure high-quality audit reports are prepared and reviewed
  4. Communicate effectively with stakeholders
  5. Support audit strategy by contributing to annual risk assessments and maintaining the group-wide audit plan
  6. Monitor and report on follow-up actions for the Audit Committee
  7. Advise on key business changes and participate in major initiatives to support risk mitigation
  8. Manage scheduling, staffing, and coordination of audits
  9. Build strong working relationships with internal teams, external service providers, and auditors
  10. Coach, mentor, and support the professional development of audit staff

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CISA, CIA) preferred; relevant degree desirable
  • Significant experience in internal or external audit, ideally within insurance or reinsurance
  • Familiarity with Solvency II, statutory reporting, and strong governance practices
  • Proven ability to manage people, projects, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
