Expert Vision Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Machine Vision Engineer to join our team.

  • This is a key role that requires strong expertise in machine vision and ability to provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement machine vision projects including design, implementation, and validation of Machine Vision systems for existing and new manufacturing equipment.
  2. Conduct code review and debugging of wide spectrum bespoke vision jobs/algorithms.
  3. Implement software changes for vision systems.
  4. Investigate issues and develop solutions for Machine Vision applications.
  5. Perform characterization, optimization, emulation, and data analysis on proposed Vision jobs.
  6. Collaborate with other internal functions (e.g., QA, Operations, Engineering).
  7. Standardize best machine vision practices across the site.
  8. Lead vision-related projects.
  9. Provide vision training for engineering personnel.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in machine vision engineering work preferably in a regulated high-volume automated manufacturing environment.
  2. Demonstrated expertise with Cognex Insight hardware/software platform for at least 3 years.
  3. Experience with optics, lighting techniques, troubleshooting/diagnostics, and vision algorithm development, with interfaces to PLC/HMI systems.
  4. Extensive knowledge of vision tools such as histograms, edge tools, blob tools, OCR, logic, image processing techniques, and job profiling.
  5. Completion of advanced spreadsheet training, Vision Pro, Designer and Keyence vision systems.
  6. Good knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
  7. Experience with GDP/GMP/GAMP regulations.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Exceptional attention to detail.
  10. Flexible and innovative approach to work.
