Process Development Engineer

You will participate in new product development projects focusing on design for manufacturability. You will lead the design, development, implementation, and validation of manufacturing processes.

  • Lead process development reviews and communicate process status and plans to team members.
  • Participate in regular project meetings and reviews with cross-functional team members.
  • Communicate with suppliers to understand product process and equipment specifications.
  • Document process development including manufacturing procedures and reports.
  • Develop a broad knowledge of product design, manufacture, and assembly techniques.
  • Estimate resource requirements and production times for manufacturing processes.
  • Train technicians on new design and process development and test methods.
  • Manage site selection process based on evaluation of internal sites, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.
  • Participate as subject matter expert or lead design and technology transfers to manufacturing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is essential.
  • 4+ years of industrial experience in process development.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude with knowledge of cGMP and GLP.
  • Working knowledge of DOE and statistical methods.
  • Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, interpret results, and write reports.

About you:

  • Experience working in regulated FDA/QSR and ISO environment.
  • Training in Six Sigma or Design for Six Sigma.
  • Experience in design and technology transfers.
