Senior Manager, Strategic Financial Operations Leader

This leadership position plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and driving the success of the organisation. The Senior Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for overseeing the delivery of accurate and timely financial statements, coordinating client audits, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) across the investment funds managed by the company.
The role involves the continuous design, evolution, and enhancement of the Financial Reporting operating model, fostering an efficient, consistent, risk-mitigating control environment across all financial reporting teams. Collaboration with fund accounting and other functions is essential. This role is senior, client-facing, acting as the voice of the Financial Reporting function with clients and their auditors.
A key aspect of this role is driving change, improving processes, and executing plans to reach the target operating model, ensuring the highest quality output.
Responsibilities- Lead a function regionally across EMEA that is accountable for tasks including SME, Client Financial Statement Production & Audits, Client Relationships, Sales Pitches, Continuous Process Improvement and Efficiency, Regulatory Reporting, and People Management.
- Manage and develop team members through performance appraisals, monthly one on ones, career pathing, and training to ensure team development.
- 15+ years experience within a financial reporting team within funds or audit of fund clients in an audit firm.
- Experience in a strategic or change management position.
- ACA qualified.
- In-depth knowledge of the Funds industry.
- In-Depth knowledge of the Microsoft suite.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Strategic thinker, comfortable with a leadership role.
- Ability to implement and evaluate strategies for improving operational excellence.
- Demonstrable relationship building skills both internally and externally and across all levels.
