We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Staff Applications Verification Engineer to contribute to the success of our company's power electronics division. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including applications, verification, design, firmware, and systems architecture, to ensure high-quality proprietary power devices meet rigorous standards.
Key Responsibilities:- HW Emulation and IC Evaluation Planning
- Develop comprehensive pre-silicon HW emulation plans and IC evaluation strategies to ensure timely and effective delivery of results.
- Verification IP Development
- Create and maintain portable verification IP for seamless integration across UVM environments, FPGA-based platforms, and final silicon.
- System Performance Evaluation
- Evaluate and assess system performance of candidate designs for IC tapeout, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
- HW Emulation Test-Plan Delivery
- Deliver complete and accurate HW emulation test-plans prior to IC tapeouts, ensuring seamless integration and testing.
- Benchmarking and Performance Analysis
- Benchmark FPGA and IC applications performance against customer requirements, providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Data Discipline and Quality Control
- Develop and implement methodologies for data discipline and quality of results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Lab Automation and Instrument Control
- Create lab-based automation for instrument control and data collection, streamlining workflows and enhancing productivity.
- HW Platform Design and Maintenance
- Design and maintain HW platforms to support IC designs, ensuring compatibility and scalability.
- Digital Communications Interface Testing
- Test protocol compliance of proprietary digital communications interfaces, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability.
- Specification Compliance Verification
- Verify digital protocol interfaces for full specification compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- A PhD, post-graduate, or degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years' relevant engineering experience, with a strong background in power conversion and electronics engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of HW emulation, FPGA development, and IC verification.
- Deep understanding of power systems and analytical skills, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems.
