Electrical Design Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of electrical control panel solutions for automation systems used across various industries.

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your skills in 2D & 3D electrical design, electrical schematic creation, and project delivery. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing complex automation projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Development: Develop innovative and efficient 2D & 3D electrical designs for complex automation projects.
  • Schematic Creation: Create detailed electrical schematics and processes for build.
  • Quotations and Sourcing: Generate budget quotations for panels and installations, source electrical components, and create test plans and documentation packs for developed electrical designs.
  • Collaboration and Support: Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and assist in electrical debugging of systems.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: Third-level qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science or equivalent relevant industrial design experience.
  • Tech Skills: Familiarity with electrical controls, AC/DC motors, servo motors, invertors, general panel equipment, drives, and pneumatics.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with software packages such as Eplan P8, Eplan Pro Panel, AutoCAD Electrical (an advantage).
  • Knowledge and Understanding: Knowledge of PLC programming and controls methodologies, robotics, automation principles, and safety standards (an advantage).

  • Problem-Solving Ability: Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Additional Requirements: Full clean driver's license.
