The Electrical Apprenticeship program is designed to equip you with the necessary skills to succeed in your role. Over the course of four years, you will develop expertise in areas such as health & safety, electrical science, and electrical installations.

**Responsibilities**

  • You will be responsible for selecting, procuring, using safely and storing craft-related tools, equipment and materials.
  • You will also need to choose and utilize fixing devices.
  • Evaluate, interpret and implement ETCI wiring regulations, installation inspection and testing procedures.
  • Use electrical test instruments.
  • Install sub-distribution boards and protective devices.
  • Install and maintain lighting, heating and motive power systems and controls.
  • Interpret technical data and manufacturing standards.
  • Interpret equipment assembly, disassembly and adjustment procedures.
  • Complete and update job-related documentation.
  • FOLLOW HEALTH & SAFETY & FOOD SAFETY PROCEDURES.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum age: 16.
  • Pass the ISHIHARA colour vision test.
  • 5 Junior Cert passes or 3 Leaving Cert passes (or equivalent).
  • Available to travel / relocate for offsite phases.
  • No electrical experience required, but an advantage.
