This is a Microbiological Analyst role in a laboratory setting where you will be responsible for performing routine testing and product release testing including water testing, environmental monitoring, endotoxin testing, BI processing and particulate testing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing routine testing to support plant functions including environmental monitoring, water testing etc. and product release testing.
- Conducting particulate testing in an ISO 5 lab on finished product.
- Performing incoming testing for materials including growth promotion testing in culture media and incoming test for Biological indicators.
- Working in an ISO clean room environment with gowning and monitoring.
- Preparing and updating control forms, SOIs, and general lab documentation.
- Preparation of trends and technical reports based on data with guidance from lab management.
- Participation in lab projects such as Method Transfers, Verifications, Validations and Equipment Qualifications.
- Isolation and maintenance of cultures of bacteria or other microorganisms for future study.
- Support of the Lab Supervisor and Lab Manager in internal, corporate and customer audits.
- Teamwork to ensure continuous improvement relative to laboratory functions.
- Identification, investigation and resolution of problems in the lab.
- Development of ability and competence with analytical techniques.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A degree in Microbiology, particulate testing, biology or science-related discipline.
- Graduate or individual with 1–3 years experience in a similar role (Microbiology/Particulate testing) within the pharmaceutical / medical devices / manufacturing industry.
Additional requirements include good knowledge and understanding of principles of microbiological techniques, experience in a cGMP environment and strong competence in IT - MS Office - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Work ArrangementsUp to 13 business days per year, which is 5% of the total work time.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesGood verbal and written communication skills, knowledge and understanding of Particle Analysis and techniques an advantage but not essential.
