Job Description">

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bid Manager to join our team in Dublin. As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for leading the cost estimation process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all estimates. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop bid documentation, project BOQs and budgets, evaluate contractor and supplier bids, and deliver category awards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop professional excellence in the estimating function in support of sales and hire within the Irish business unit, accurately, on time and in line with company policies and client requirements.
  • Manage the cost estimation process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all estimates.
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure that all bid submissions are of the highest standard.
  • Provide a full and professional estimating service to support commercial leads in defining scope of modular hire projects.
  • Understand and lead cost and margin calculations.
  • Evaluate contractor and supplier bids and deliver category awards.
  • Support the procurement process by preparing cost estimates, derogations lists and leading contract analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree or technical qualification, however relevant experience is more important.
  • Estimating/bid/order negotiation experience within construction.
  • Excellent level of understanding and application of costs, mark-ups and margins.
  • Experience managing subcontractors.
  • Experience in leading, managing, developing and motivating teams.
