Job Summary:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational delivery of the organisation's Audit Plan, providing assurance across all programmes to relevant government partners.
  • Key responsibilities include management of the audit plan, developing in-depth knowledge of government schemes and programmes rules, and overseeing the development of audit checklists and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  1. Audit Plan Delivery
  • Develop and implement the annual audit plan based on Performance Delivery Agreements (PDAs) agreed with government departments.
  • Operationalise PDA/POW requirements over the full lifecycle, ensuring alignment with departmental requirements.
Risk Audits
  • Conduct on-site risk audits to identify potential risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and guide the team to achieve high performance and deliver on business requirements.
  • Mentor and develop team members, ensuring appropriate training and support.
Policies and Regulations
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulatory environments and ensure adoption of formal escalation measures.
  • Update policies and procedures as required, maintaining relevance to individual programmes.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in accounting or relevant discipline.
  • 4-5 years' experience in management, preferably in large multi-disciplinary organisations or public bodies.
  • Demonstrable line management experience and excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environments and public accountability requirements.
