Senior Freshwater Ecologist - Hydrologist



About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Freshwater Ecologist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental consulting group, you will be responsible for leading freshwater ecological assessments and providing expert advice to clients on water quality and aquatic ecosystem management.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct freshwater ecological assessments and surveys to identify potential impacts and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on water quality and aquatic ecosystem management, including the development of site-specific management plans.
  • Lead and collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality projects that meet client needs and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to promote business growth and opportunities.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as freshwater ecology, hydrology, or environmental science.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in freshwater ecology or a related field, preferably in a consultancy environment.
  • Chartered Scientist, Environmentalist, or Ecologist designation preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
