We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with leadership experience to take on a key role in delivering high-quality care to older adults.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision:
- Provide professional and clinical leadership within the unit.
- Supervise qualified and unqualified staff, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Lead infection control initiatives and manage infectious disease protocols.
- Operational Management:
- Support the Nurse Manager in unit management and deputize in her absence.
- Take charge of the unit, ensuring safe staffing levels.
- Complete notifications to relevant authorities in the Nurse Manager's absence.
- Quality Care:
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care.
- Monitor care to ensure the well-being of residents.
- Policies and Procedures:
- Adhere to policies, standards, legislation, and codes of practice.
- Contribute to the development of unit policies, quality improvements, and health and safety standards.
- Training and Education:
- Ability to organize continuing education, guide, and assess staff performance.
- Lead orientation for new staff and act as a preceptor for students.
- Encourage personal and professional development.
- Communication and Teamwork:
- Facilitate good communication within the team.
- Qualified Nurse with at least 3 years Management experience in the last 6 years in care of the older person.
- Post registration management qualification in health or a related field.
- Proven track record in healthcare clinical management.
- Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills.
- Sound decision-making ability and results-driven.
- Ability to work well and promote a team environment.
- Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the role.
